What your customer sees when they pay
Short answer
They see your business name and the amount on our page, then type their card on a secure page hosted by the bank. They come back to a page that says whether it worked.Verified 1 November 2026

Step by step
- Our page shows your business’s name, what they are paying for and the amount. On a payment link it also asks for their email, for the receipt.
- They press Pay by card.
- The bank’s secure page asks for their card. The card number goes only to the bank, and never reaches you or us.
- 3-D Secure: their own bank may ask them to confirm it is really them.
- They come back to our page, or to your website if you set one up.
What the last page says
| The page says | What it means |
|---|---|
| Payment received | It worked. |
| Payment authorised | The money is held on their card, for you to charge later. |
| Confirming your payment | We are waiting for the bank’s answer. The page updates by itself. |
| The payment did not go through | The card was refused, and they can try another. |
Time limits
A checkout page lasts 24 hours. The bank’s own page lasts about twenty minutes, so if someone leaves it open too long, they start again from our page. A payment link does not expire until you turn it off.
Afterwards
We email them a receipt once the bank has confirmed the money, and the payment appears under Payments.
