My developer says events aren’t arriving

Short answer

Open Developers → Webhooks and choose the endpoint. Its delivery log shows each event we sent and what your server answered, and Send a test event checks it end to end.

Check the endpoint

  1. Open Developers → Webhooks and choose the endpoint.
  2. Check its status. An endpoint that is switched off sends nothing. Turn it back on from its page.
  3. Read its delivery log: what we sent, and what your server said back to each one.
  4. Press Send a test event. It appears in the log within a few seconds.

What the log tells you

  • Nothing sent: no event of the kind it listens for has happened, or it is in the other mode. Test and Live have separate endpoints.
  • Your server answered with an error: the problem is on your server. Your developer can read the answer in the log.
  • Delivered: we sent it and your server accepted it. If your system did not act on it, the problem is after that.

We retry failed deliveries for some time, and email you if an endpoint keeps failing.
