Do I need a website or a developer?
Short answer
No: you can take card payments from the dashboard with a payment link or an invoice, with nothing to install. You only need a developer to take payments inside your own website or app.Verified 1 November 2026

Your customers do not need an account or an app. They pay on their own phone or computer.
What needs a developer
Showing a checkout from your own website, or having your own system told when someone pays, takes some code. A developer can start from the quickstart.
If you already have a website
You can still start with a link: add it to your site as a button or a text link, with no code on our side.
