Frequently asked questions
Short answer
The questions businesses ask first, each with a short answer and a link to the rest.In this article
What does it cost?
5% of each payment, with no fixed fee and no monthly fee. See How our fees work.
When do I get my money?
A payment becomes available two days after it is taken, and we pay your balance into your bank account weekly, on Fridays by default. That is the day we make the transfer, and your bank decides when it shows up. We hold your payouts until we have verified your business. See When will I get my money?
Is it safe?
Your customer types their card on a secure page hosted by the bank, so the number never reaches you or us. That keeps the card security paperwork as short as it gets: "PCI SAQ A for you". See What your customer sees when they pay.
Do I need a website or a developer?
No. A payment link or an invoice needs nothing but the dashboard. You only need a developer to take payments inside your own website or app. See Do I need a website or a developer?
Can I charge in US dollars?
Yes. You can price in US dollars, and the card is charged in Belize dollars at the fixed rate of BZ$2.00 to US$1.00. See Charge in US dollars, get paid in Belize dollars.
Can I take payments in person?
Yes, with a QR code your customer scans and pays on their own phone. We do not sell card machines. See Share a payment link.
What if a customer wants their money back?
You can refund from your dashboard, and our fee comes back in proportion, unless your rate keeps it. If a customer asks their bank to take a payment back, you get an email and can send your side of it. See Refund a payment and What is a dispute?.
How quickly can I start?
You can use Test mode as soon as you have confirmed your email and named your business. Live payments start once a person has verified your business, and we do not promise a number of days. See Activate your account.
