Create a payment link
Short answer
Open Payment links, press New payment link, choose a price and press Create payment link. You get a web address you can send to anyone, with no website or code needed.Before you start
A payment link charges a price from your catalogue. If you have none, the page takes you to make one: open Products, press New product, and give it a name and a price.
Try your first link in Test mode, where no real money moves. You can pay it with a card from the test cards page.
Make the link
- Open Payment links and press New payment link.
- Choose the price, and the quantity it charges for.
- Tick Let the payer change the quantity if they may choose how many, and set the smallest and largest.
- Under After they pay, choose what happens: a message from you, or sending them to your own website.
- Under Also collect, choose anything else you need. We always ask for their email, for the receipt.
- Add up to three questions of your own if you need them, such as a boat name.
- Press Create payment link.
The link works from that moment, and its page shows The URL to share and a QR code.
Things to know
- Everyone who opens the link gets their own payment, so one link can be paid many times.
- Anyone with the address can open it, and it does not expire. Turn it off when you are done.
- For a donation or a deposit, use a price that lets the customer type the amount.
