Reset your password

Short answer

On the sign-in page, press Forgot it? next to the password box and enter your email. We send a link that works once, which asks for your code if you use two-step verification and then lets you choose a new password.

Reset it

  1. On the sign-in page, press Forgot it? next to the password box.
  2. Enter your email, and press Email me a reset link.
  3. Open the email and press its link.
  4. If you use two-step verification, enter the code from your authenticator app. We ask because a password alone cannot change your password once two-step verification is on.
  5. Enter a New password, and press Save password.

Then sign in with it. We ask for your code again when you do.

If you have also lost your phone

On the code step, press Use a backup code and enter one you saved. That turns two-step verification off, so you can then choose your new password, and we take you straight on to setting it up again.

With no backup codes, see what to do without one. Do this before anything else, because we cannot change your password for you.

What else changes

Changing your password signs you out on every other device, straight away.

If the email does not come

Check your spam folder, and that you typed the address you signed up with. For your privacy, the page says the same thing whether or not that address has an account.

A link works once. If you already used it, or it has been a while, ask for a new one.
