# Charge in US dollars, get paid in Belize dollars

You can price in US dollars or Belize dollars, and the card is always charged in Belize dollars at BZ$2.00 to US$1.00. Your balance and payouts are in Belize dollars either way.

## An example

| Step | Amount |
|---|---|
| You price it at | US$60.00 |
| Your customer’s card is charged | BZ$120.00 |
| Your balance gets | BZ$120.00, less our fee |

## What your customer sees

They agreed to US$60.00, and may find BZ$120.00 on their statement. The receipt we email shows both, so they can tell it is the same payment. An amount nobody recognises can turn into a dispute, so it is worth telling them when you sell.

If their card is in another currency, their own bank converts from Belize dollars, and it may add its own charge. We do not see or control that.

## Where to see both figures

Open the payment under **Payments**. **Received** shows what you priced it at, and **Settled** shows what the card was charged in Belize dollars.

## Refunds

A refund uses the rate the payment was taken at. Refunding a whole payment returns exactly what was charged.
