# Charge a saved card for an invoice (beta)

Your developer can pay an open invoice with a card your customer has saved, so they do not have to open the invoice’s link. It is in beta, like every charge on a saved card.

Who can: Owner, Administrator, Developer, Support can see this in [Invoices](https://dashboard.secureprocessing.app/invoices).

## How it works

Your developer asks for an open invoice to be paid with one of the customer’s [saved cards](https://docs.secureprocessing.app/help/payments/saved-cards.md). The payment appears under **Payments against this invoice**, and the invoice says **Paid** once it succeeds.

There is no button for it in the dashboard. Without a developer, send the invoice, and your customer pays it on its own page.

## Why it is in beta

Charging a saved card for real has not been proven on a live account yet. Until it is, do not rely on it for invoices you need paid on time.

## Ask first

Only charge a saved card with your customer’s agreement, for an amount they expect.

For developers: [Invoicing](https://docs.secureprocessing.app/invoicing.md)
