# Give a developer access

Invite your developer under **Settings → Team** as a **Developer**. They can then make their own test keys and set up webhooks, and you never need to send them a key.

Who can: Owner, Administrator can invite a developer in [Settings → Team](https://dashboard.secureprocessing.app/settings/team).

## Invite them

1. Open **Settings → Team**.
2. Under **Invite someone**, enter their email and choose **Developer**.
3. Press **Send invitation**.

Once they accept, they sign in with their own account. Do not share your own sign-in or copy them a key.

## What a developer can do

- Make **test keys** under **Developers → API keys**, and build the whole integration with them.
- Add and manage webhook endpoints, and see events.
- See payments and customers.

They cannot refund, invite people, or change payouts.

## Live keys

A developer cannot make a full live secret key, because a live key can do things their role cannot, such as refunding. When you are ready to go live, your owner or an administrator makes the live key and gives it to them, or puts it into your server themselves.

## When they finish

Remove them under **Settings → Team**, and [roll or revoke](https://docs.secureprocessing.app/help/security/keep-api-keys-safe.md) any key they had.
